CHRISMAN - Joe Daughhetee, 85, a respected accountant and community leader, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024.Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home, Paris, Ill. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the funeral. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.Born on May 6, 1939, to Sylvan D. and Mary Elizabeth (Dunn) Daughhetee, Joe dedicated his life to the field of accounting. After his career as a CPA and partner at Kessler and Company, he went on to establish his own successful firm, Daughhetee & Parks, with Phyllis Parks which specialized in agricultural accounting, auditing and financial services.As a founding member of the Farm Financial Standards Council, Joe volunteered countless hours over the years on various committees and served as president of the council in 2002.
