SAVOY - Andrew Michael Anderson, 49, of Savoy, formerly of Rowlett, Texas, passed away Saturday (July 13, 2024) at home.He was a man who served God in many ways, including working as a counselor, ministering to youth and sharing the love of Christ to anyone blessed enough to have him as their Uber driver.He was born Jan. 16, 1975, in Dallas County, Texas, the son of Gary and Madolyn (Kimbrell) Anderson. He married Rebeccah Suzanne Dixon on Sept. 1, 2007, at First Christian Church in Paris, Ill., and she survives.He is also survived by his father, Gary Anderson of Rowlett; four children, Jacob, Samuel, Benjamin and Faith Anderson, all at home; his sister, Amy Lusk, and her husband, Steve, and their children of Ponca City, Okla.; and parents-in-law, Michael and Peg Dixon of Paris, Ill.; as well as a loving church family and many dear friends.He was preceded in death by his mother, Madolyn Anderson.Andrew was an active member of New City Church of Champaign.
